We then complete our city tour with panoramic views of the Bukhara and Multani Caravanserais. Free time after breakfast. Guests who wish may join our optional Gobustan & Heydar Aliyev Museum tour (70 Euros). We set off towards Gobustan, located 70 km south of Baku, the richest region of Azerbaijan in terms of archaeological artifacts and included on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Located near the Caspian Sea, on the old Shirvan road, Gobustan is also referred to as an open-air museum. With its carved rocks and engraved stones, this place provides important information about social life, hunting, animals, and vegetation in prehistoric and medieval societies throughout the world. The Gobustan Mud Volcanoes are located southwest of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, within Gobustan National Park, and constitute one of the largest mud volcano areas in the world. This natural wonder is of great geological and touristic significance. Approximately 40% of the world's mud volcanoes are located in Azerbaijan, and the most famous ones are in the Gobustan region. With nearly 300 mud volcanoes, this region attracts the interest of both scientists and tourists. Following our tour, we will visit the Heydar Aliyev Museum.
