03 Budva (Cetinje – Virpazar – Lake Skadar – Bar – Sveti Stefan)
After breakfast, as an extra, a half-day Budva Coast Petrovac and Sveti Stefan boat tour (75 euros) will be arranged. On this tour, we board our private boat from the Budva coast and begin our journey, first stopping for swimming breaks on Sveti Nikola (Hawaii) Island and then on Sveti Stefan Island. We then continue by boat and arrive at the charming town of Petrovac. We spend approximately 2 hours on the private boat. Petrovac, a small tourist town on the Adriatic Sea coast, is also one of Montenegro’s oldest coastal towns. We enjoy the sea and sun on Petrovac beaches. After a free lunch, we depart from Petrovac by returning overland in a private vehicle. On the return journey, we view the extraordinary Sveti Stefan from the land this time. Sveti Stefan, which was once a settlement of fishermen and later became a tourism destination through restoration work after the expropriation of an island and its sale to a Singaporean hotel chain, was a village protected by walls in the 15th century. Until the 1950s, Sveti Stefan Island was a fishing town and, in the 60s, 70s, and 80s, it was also a favorite stop of celebrities such as Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe, and Liz Taylor. We take a photo break at a spot where we can see Sveti Stefan panoramically and return to Budva.
*** Outside the sea season (during Spring-Autumn-Winter), this tour will be operated without a boat, by road, as the “Budva Coast, Sveti Stefan, Petrovac and Stari Bar Tour.” Guests who wish may also join, as an extra in the afternoon, the Skadar Lake Boat Tour, Montenegro’s former Royal Capital Cetinje and Dinner at a National Restaurant Tour (140 Euro). On this tour, we will first head to the charming town of Virpazar, where we will see Lake Skadar. In Virpazar, we will enjoy a pleasant boat trip in the Skadar Lake National Park by private boat. On the boat, you will have the chance to experience Montenegro’s famous wines. It will be a great privilege to see pelicans on this lake, the largest in the Balkans and home to around 250 different bird species. After the boat tour on the lake, we will explore Cetinje, Montenegro’s former royal capital. Among the places we will see on our panoramic tour are the former Turkish Consulate, the small Cetinje Square, King Nikola’s House, and the historic Serbian Orthodox monastery. Dinner will be served at one of Montenegro’s famous national and local restaurants, accompanied by the sunset.
