Then we will visit Kotor, the touristic and historic city of the region, which is on the UNESCO World Natural and Historical Heritage list, surrounded by white stones and illuminated by the Mediterranean sun, as well as Kotor Bay and the historic fortress city. Kotor, located in the southwest of Montenegro and in the south of Croatia, on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, is the largest fjord in Europe after Norway and a natural harbor, and consists of four bays connected by narrow straits. The bare mountains around the bay descend steeply to the shore. In Perast, we will take a pleasant private boat ride to the island of “Our Lady of the Rocks,” visit the island, and return. 03 Budva (Cetinje- Virpazar- Lake Skadar- Bar- Sveti Stefan)
After breakfast, as an extra, a half-day Budva Coast, Petrovac and Sveti Stefan boat tour (75 euros). On this tour, we board our private boat from the Budva coast and start our excursion; first we take swimming breaks on Sveti Nikola (Hawaii) Island and then on Sveti Stefan Island. We then continue by boat to the charming town of Petrovac. We spend approximately 2 hours on the private boat. Petrovac, a small tourist town on the Adriatic coast, is also one of Montenegro’s oldest seaside towns. We enjoy the sea and sun on the beaches of Petrovac. After a free lunch, we leave Petrovac and return by private vehicle overland. On the way back, we see Sveti Stefan from the land this time, with its extraordinary view. Sveti Stefan, which was once an island inhabited by fishermen, was expropriated many years ago and later sold to a Singaporean hotel chain, and today has been brought into tourism through restoration work; in the 15th century it was a village protected by walls. Until the 1950s, Sveti Stefan Island was a fishing town, and in the 60s, 70s and 80s it was also a favorite destination for celebrities such as Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe and Liz Taylor. We take a photo break at a place where we can see Sveti Stefan panoramically and return to Budva.
*** Outside the sea season (Spring-Autumn-Winter period), this tour will be carried out without a boat, by road, as the “Budva Coast, Sveti Stefan, Petrovac and Stari Bar Tour.” Our guests who wish may join, as an extra in the afternoon, the Boat Tour on Lake Skadar, Montenegro’s former Royal Capital Cetinje, and Dinner Tour at a National Restaurant (110 Euro). On this tour, we will first head to the charming town of Virpazar, where we will see Lake Skadar. In Virpazar, we will enjoy a pleasant cruise in the Lake Skadar National Park by private boat. On the boat, you will have the chance to experience famous Montenegrin wines. Seeing pelicans on the lake, the largest lake in the Balkans and home to around 250 different bird species, will be a wonderful privilege. After the boat tour on the lake, we will explore Cetinje, Montenegro’s former royal capital. Places we will see on our panoramic tour here include the former Turkish Consulate, Little Cetinje Square, King Nikola’s House and the historic Serbian Orthodox monastery. Dinner will be served at sunset at one of Montenegro’s famous national and local restaurants.
