Tour Program
01 Antalya-Basel-Strasburg
We meet our valued guests at Antalya Airport International Departures terminal at least 3 hours before the flight. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Basel on SunExpress Airlines’ scheduled flight ***. Upon arrival in Basel at local time ***, we leave the airport to begin our city tour. We set off towards Strasbourg. Upon arrival, our panoramic city tour begins. Strasbourg, which holds historical significance as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, appears before us as a city where Alsace culture blends with French architecture. We visit the Notre-Dame Cathedral of Strasbourg, which held the title of the world’s tallest structure until 1874, the Rohan Palace, Kleber Square, and the Petit France district adorned with traditional Alsace houses. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. (Depending on regional density, accommodation may take place in surrounding cities. For example; Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg, Basel, Belfort)
02 Strasbourg – Eguisheim – Colmar – Riquewihr – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Eguisheim & Colmar & Riquewihr tour (100 Euro). Our tour’s first stop is Eguisheim, one of the charming towns of Alsace. As you wander through its narrow picturesque streets among houses with wooden windows and balconies adorned with beautiful colorful geraniums, you will begin to lose yourself in stories of times past. Since 2003, Eguisheim has been a member of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France” club, and in 2013 it was chosen as the French people’s favorite village. After our Eguisheim tour, we depart for our second stop, Colmar. With its colorful houses, flower-lined streets, and captivating beauty, Colmar is one of the most enchanting cities and is of great importance as the starting point of the Alsace Wine Route. The canals that add even more beauty to Colmar are branches of the Rhine River. The colorful historic buildings lining the river, whose history dates back to the 1200s, are the city’s most distinctive and remarkable feature. During our Colmar tour, we will visit St. Martin’s Cathedral, with its giant stork nests, Rue Marchand (Merchant Street), and the “Petite Venise” district, which means “Little Venice.” Our final stop on the tour is Riquewihr, known as the most famous village in Alsace. The harmony of Alsatian-style two-story houses made of a combination of wood and stone, with their different colors and shapes, attracts 2 million visitors a year to this charming town of 1,200 residents. You will not be able to stop taking photos in this wonderful town blended with history, culture, and nature. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. (Depending on regional occupancy, accommodation may take place in surrounding cities. For example: Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg, Basel, Belfort)
03 Strasbourg – Heidelberg – Baden Baden – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the Heidelberg & Baden Baden tour, organized as an optional extra by our guide. (€85) No, not all German cities are alike. If you want to see a real German city, Heidelberg, where Hegel wandered its streets in deep thought and Goethe called it the ideal city, will welcome you with the harmony of its architecture and nature. On our tour upon arrival, the places to be seen include Hauptstrasse, Market Square, the Old Bridge, and Heidelberg Castle (from the outside). After the tour, we depart for our second stop, Baden Baden. Located near the Germany-France border, this elegant, stylish, and peaceful German city embraced by nature offers countless possibilities, from thermal baths and culture-art museums to opera and theater, and even a visit to Europe’s most famous casino. The novel “The Gambler,” which the famous Russian writer Dostoevsky incorporated aspects of his own life into, is set in this city. For this reason, Baden Baden is also a city that may attract literature lovers. After the tour, we transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
