Tour Program
01 Istanbul (Sabiha Gökçen Airport) - Basel - Strasbourg
We meet our valued guests at Sabiha Gökçen Airport International Departures terminal at least 3 hours before the flight. After ticket, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Basel on Ajet Airlines’ scheduled flight ***. Arrival in Basel at local time ***. After passport and ticket procedures, we leave the airport to begin our city tour. We set off toward Strasbourg. Upon arrival, our panoramic city tour begins. Strasbourg, which holds historical significance as the place where the French national anthem “La Marseillaise” was written, is presented to us as a city where Alsace culture blends with French architecture. We visit the Notre-Dame de Strasbourg Cathedral, which held the title of the tallest structure in the world until 1874, the Rohan Palace, Place Kléber, and the Petite France district adorned with traditional Alsace houses. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at the hotel. (Depending on regional congestion, accommodation may take place in surrounding cities. For example; Mulhouse, Colmar, Strasbourg, Basel, Belfort)
02 Strasbourg – Eguisheim – Colmar – Riquewihr – Strasbourg
After breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the optional Eguisheim & Colmar & Riquewihr (100 Euros) tour. The first stop of our tour is Eguisheim, one of the charming towns of Alsace. As you wander through its narrow, picturesque streets, among houses with beautiful colorful geraniums cascading from their wooden windows and balconies, you will begin to lose yourself in stories from the past. A member of the “Most Beautiful Villages of France” association since 2003, Eguisheim was named “France’s Favorite Village” in 2013. Following our tour of Eguisheim, we depart for our second stop, Colmar. With its colorful houses, flower-adorned streets, and beauty, Colmar is one of the most enchanting cities and is of great importance as the starting point of the Alsace Wine Route. The canals that add to Colmar’s beauty are branches of the Rhine River. The colorful historic buildings lined along the river, dating back to the 1200s, are the city’s most distinctive and notable feature. During our tour of Colmar, while exploring its carnival-like streets, we visit Saint Martin’s Cathedral, featuring enormous stork nests on its roof, Rue Marchand (Merchants’ Street), and the “Petite Venise” district, meaning “Little Venice.” The final stop of our tour is Riquewihr, known as the most famous village in Alsace… This charming town, home to 1,200 people, is visited by 2 million people every year, thanks to the harmony of its Alsatian-style two-story half-timbered and concrete houses, each with different colors and architectural styles. You will never tire of taking photographs in this wonderful town, blended with history, culture, and nature. Following our tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel. 03 Strasbourg - Schaffhausen Rhine Falls - Zurich - Lucerne - Strasbourg
Following breakfast at the hotel, free time. Guests who wish may join the Schaffhausen Rhine Falls & Zurich & Lucerne tour (110 Euros), which will be organized as an optional excursion by our guide. Our first stop on the tour is the Rhine Falls. Located on the shores of Lake Zurich and at the foothills of the Alps, Zurich welcomes millions of tourists throughout the year with both its historical heritage and culture. The city’s history dates back to the Neolithic and Bronze Ages, while its name is derived from Turus. The city, which was under Roman occupation in the 2nd century AD, was named Turicum. When this name is translated into Swiss German, it is pronounced “Zuri.” According to the latest data, Zurich is the most livable city in Europe and is also known as Switzerland’s cultural capital. Upon arrival, after seeing the Grossmünster and Fraumünster Churches and St. Peter’s Church, home to Europe’s largest clock tower, we tour Bahnhofstrasse, considered the city’s shopping center. Following our tour, we depart for Lucerne. In this enchanting city, after seeing the Lion Monument, built in memory of the 800 Swiss soldiers who died while protecting King Louis XVI and his family, the Chapel Bridge, and the magnificent view of Lake Lucerne, we conclude our tour and transfer to our hotel.
