Tour Program
01 Istanbul (IST) - Barcelona
We meet our valued guests at the international departures terminal of Istanbul Airport at least 3 hours before the flight. After ticketing, baggage, and passport procedures, we depart for Barcelona on the scheduled flight of the airline. Arrival in Barcelona at local time. After arrival, we leave the airport and begin our Barcelona city tour. Among the places to be seen in Barcelona, the second largest city in Spain and the capital of Catalonia, are La Sagrada Familia Church, the Christopher Columbus Monument, Montjuïc Hill, La Rambla Street, Spain and Catalunya Squares, the Bullring, and the Olympic Port. After our city tour, transfer to our hotel. Overnight at our hotel.
02 Barcelona
After our hotel breakfast, guests who wish may join the extra Girona & Figueres (Dalí Museum) tour. (90 Euro) Our tour begins in Girona, the pearl of Northern Catalonia, founded at the point where the Onyar, Galligants, and Güell rivers meet. The region is historically very rich, with remnants from dozens of invasions and reigns dating back to the Iberians. Since all the buildings were constructed of stone and have been very well preserved until today, they fully reflect the spirit of the past. With its museums, churches, narrow cobblestone streets, and medieval city walls, it is a favorite among tourists. The Lion Statue, Cathedral Square, and the Jewish Quarter are among the places to see. After our tour, we head to the city of Figueres. The importance of this place is that surrealist artist Salvador Dalí was born here in 1904. Dalí established a museum here to leave something in the place where he was born and to exhibit his works. Today, this museum has the largest Dalí collection and is referred to as Dalí’s greatest work, as every part of it was designed by Dalí himself. The museum contains more than 4,000 works by Dalí created using different techniques. After the tour, transfer to our hotel. In the evening, guests who wish may join the extra Flamenco tour. (65 Euro) You will be mesmerized as you watch Flamenco, the dance of love, pain, rebellion, and passion. After completing our tour and having lunch at leisure, we transfer back to our hotel.
03 Barcelona
After breakfast at the hotel, those who wish may join the optional Park Güell & Gothic Quarter tour (80 Euro). This park, protected by UNESCO and referred to as the “Fairy Tale Park,” is a work of Antoni Gaudí. With its colorful main stairways and fanciful pavilions, it creates a magical atmosphere. After our visit, we head to the Gothic Quarter. With its medieval buildings, romantic squares, Roman walls, churches, labyrinthine streets, cafés, and souvenir shops, you will enjoy your time in the Gothic Quarter without getting bored. After our tour, those who wish may also join the optional Sitges Tour (60 Euro). Sitges is located 35 km southwest of Barcelona. It is a place with a typical Mediterranean town spirit and, thanks to its perfect location between the mountains and the sea, has become one of the rising destinations in recent years. We begin our visit at the magical steps of the San Bartolome-Santa Tecla Cathedral and lose ourselves in its historic streets. Dating back to the 17th century, this cathedral rises on the remains of former Romanesque and Gothic churches. After admiring this magnificent cathedral, our next stop is the historic streets of Sitges, where within the old town center from the Middle Ages we will find the Maricel Palace and Museum, a true paradise for collectors as one of the finest examples of Modernism. Directly opposite is the Cau Ferrat Museum, the home of Santiago Rusiñol, one of the leaders of the modernist movement in the Catalonia region. After he began exhibiting his paintings here in Sitges, he also played a major role in making the town widely known. In the narrow streets where the Sitges Festival, which hosts horror and fantasy films and attracts thousands of people every year, is celebrated, we will see colorful houses and charming bars. Then, by heading toward the beach, we will spend the rest of our time enjoying the day like the locals here. After the tour, we transfer back to our hotel.
